F.I.E.L.D. is a discussion community for people working in environmental and conservation spaces who want to share conversation, photos of their field experiences, personal development, real lessons, and environmental concerns where each of us can use our expertise to come up with solutions.

YOU GET:
• Learning from shared environmental field experiences
• Practical lessons from professionals
• New professional contacts

:red_circle:This is live environmental discussion space that varies each session around a prompt. We talk it out, capture the ideas, and turn the conversation into action or writing that lives on TerraontheBench.com Studios. We follow along to relevant videos, react, answer polls, and discuss the topic. Each session is centered around one question! :up_arrow: (see topic above)

Come prepared to answer some of these questions:
• What the project involved
• What went wrong or surprised them
• What someone new to the field should learn from the experience
• What skill helped you solve the issue
• What mistake should others avoid
• What tool or method helped most

You can speak, type, listen, or just observe. If you contribute, you can be credited. If you don’t, that’s fine too.

:movie_camera:Cameras optional but this is recorded.

Earth Month Community Engagement Event

Here it is! April 1st marks the beginning of Earth Month. This Earth Month event invites you to explore natural areas in Western New York, document what you observe, and take part in a live discussion on land protection and environmental conditions in the field.

Leading up to the Zoom session on April 15, participants will visit a natural area, spend time observing their surroundings, and capture one to three photos that reflect what stands out. Focus on real conditions. Look for wildlife activity, plant growth, water features, habitat quality, or signs of human impact.

After your visit, submit your photos and a short description through the submission form and share your experience in the F.I.E.L.D. discussion forum. Use the forum to compare observations, ask questions, and see what others are noticing across the region.

During the April 15 session, participants will discuss what they observed, identify patterns across locations, and connect those observations to broader environmental conditions and land protection efforts.
